Antitrust wants elimination of roaming in Russia
MOSCOW, Sep 28 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Communications and Mass Media Ministry should work on eliminating internal roaming as soon as possible, Igor Artemyev, head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service, told reporters Wednesday.
“There should be no roaming in Russia; it should not be in Crimea, and I think it should not exist in our customs union,” Artemyev said. The Eurasian Economic Union comprises Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, and Kyrgyzstan.
The antimonopoly authority raises the matter on various discussion floors, the official said.
“I would like to call on to the communications ministry to accomplish the work as soon as possible, so that we could say ‘no’ to the internal roaming,” Artemyev said.
